Lead glass is a kind of medical X-ray Equipments & Accessories

locator,Observation window,protection room and Nuclear medicine .
The composition formula of lead glass is rmon-pbo-sio2 (B2O3). In
the formula, SiO2 (B2O3), namely silicon oxide (boron oxide), is
called network forming substance, which is the basic unit of glass
network structure. RMON, a metal oxide representing alkali,
alkaline earth and rare earth metals, is a network modifier that
changes the structure of glass network and achieves the adjustment
characteristics. PbO, or lead oxide, is the characteristic
component that gives the glass its basic properties. With the
increase of PBO content, the density, refractive index, dispersion,
dielectric constant, absorption coefficient of X-ray and γ - ray
and other performance index values of glass increase; the hardness,
high temperature viscosity, softening temperature, chemical
stability and other index values decrease; as a result, the
plasticity of glass becomes longer, the colorant is bright, the
surface luster is increased, and the knocking sound is clear and
crisp.
